At Westfield Nursery School we aim to extend the education that is
started at home to enable children to further develop skills that will
prepare them for life.

From Sept 2009 we have been working using the High Scope method of teaching.

Young children learn best through purposeful play. We aim to offer them a broad and balanced curriculum covering a wide and varied range of experiences in a happy, secure and stimulating child-centred learning environment

Children need to make sense of the world around them through curiosity, experimentation, discovery and first hand involvement, as well as being taught.
